Medical Camp (2018) - 1

At Dnyan Prabodhini Prashala School Sade Satra Nali in Pune India, a total of 158 students were examined. Students were diagnosed with medical issues like fever, abdomen pain, leg pain,headache, acidity problem, eye issues, and ear problem.  The children were provided with appropriate medicines along with  deworming and Vitamin A dosage.

Medical Camp (2018) - 2

Medical camp at LT Inamdar School Vadgaonsheri was organized for 231 children. Few students had complaints of headache, backache, fever, eyes problem, abdomen pain ,cough and cold hence the medicines and the prescription was handed over to the children or their parents. All the children were given Deworming and Vitamin A dosage.

Medical Camp (2018) - 3

Dnyan Prabodhini Prashala School Sassane Nagar was a two days medical checkup camp for 481 children. The majority of the students were having dental issues, while fewstudents were having difficulty in vision, pain in the abdomen, itching of scalp and loss of eyelashes. Apart from that that were also the case of minor issues like a cough and cold, fever and for this medicines were provided.

Medical Camp (2018) - 4

348 children were examined for different health issues. Some of the children were diagnosed with minor health ailments such as headache, fever, URTI (Upper
respiratory tract infection), pain in abdomen, cold & cough, throat pain, pallor, mouth ulcer, scabies, pain in lower limb, watery eyes, squint etc., while most of the children were identified with dental issues. Children identified with eye problems were referred to the Ophthalmologist and children with dental issues were referred to a dentist.

Medical Camp (2017) - 1

240 children underwent medical treatment at the medical camp conducted at Lt.Inamdar School in Pune India. It was observed that few children had complaints of minor problems like cough, cold, viral fever, and vision problem. Children having cough & cold were given medicines and their parents were informed about the illness. Prescriptions were handed over to children or parents.

Medical Camp (2017) - 2

Medical camp at Dnyan Prabodhini School-Sade Satra Nali was organized for 189 children.There were no major issues found during the check up in the school. Few students had complaints of acne, backache, fever, eyes problem, abdomen pain, headache and cough and cold and were given medicines and the prescription was handed over to the children or their parents.

Medical Camp (2017) - 3

In Vikas Prathamik School, total 257 students were examined. Students were diagnosed with medical issues like fever, abdomen pain, leg pain, headache, acidity problem, eye issues and ear problem.

Medical Camp (2017) - 4

The medical camp at Talegaon school no.1, 2, and 5 was held for 156 Children.  Few students were diagnosed with some major issues like dental issues, eye problems, hearing difficulty and they were referred to the DY Patil hospital for further treatment.

Medical Camp (2017) - 5

The Talegaon medical camp was held in school no 4 & 6 of for 160 students.  The majority of the students were having dental issues ,while few students were having difficulty in vision, pain in abdomen, itching of scalp and loss of eye lashes.

Medical Camp (2017) - 6

214 children from Lt. Inamdar School Marathi Primary section were examined. Major issues like anemia, heart issues, eye problems, conjunctivitis and tooth decay was diagnosed in some students and accordingly medicines were prescribed and follow up was given.

Medical Camp (2016) - 1

150 children from the Wadgaonsheri community were examined.  Medicines were provided for cough, cold, viral fever and upper respiratory tract infection.

Medical Camp (2016) - 2

250 children from Dnyan Prabodhini School (Nursery to 4th class) were examined.  There were cases of anemia, gastrointestinal infection and viral fever.

All girls at Seva Sadan Mumbai were vaccinated.

Medical Camp (2015) - 1

162 children were examined at HFCF and 15 were referred for follow on treatment to the hospital

202 children were examined at Anand Rushiji Maharaj School and 9 were referred for follow on treatment to the hospital

102 women were examined for osteoporosis at Bombay Hospital

25 girls from Seva Sadan were tested for HIV.  Additionally wellness checkup was also conducted..

Eye and Dental Clinic

Conducted a 4-day Eye and Dental Clinic for the 360 underprivileged children of Shree Geeta Bhawan Public School. 56 children with the most pressing vision care needs (eye glasses and surgery) and 103 children with acute dental requirements (fillings, extractions and surgery) were sponsored for further treatment.

Toys for Hospitalized Children

Donated thousands of toys to hospitalized children to improve their spirit.

Home Improvement

Empower Orphans partnered with St. Mary's Hospital and other local organizations to provide underprivileged children and their families with home goods (beddings, towels, window treatments, etc). These were donated to Empower Orphans by Bed Bath & Beyond. Till now in excess of 200 van loads of home goods have been donated.

Water Purification System

Empower Orphans discovered that the drinking water provided in the school was contaminated and unsafe.  Installed a water purification system to improve the well-being of children.

Polio Surgeries

Organized for the surgery of 10 polio victims

Diapers to Underprivileged Children

Empower Orphans partnered with The Greater Philadelphia Diaper Bank to provide diapers to 5000 underprivileged children in the Philadelphia region.

Sweaters and Blankets to Children

To combat the bitter winters experienced by Northern India, Empower Orphans donated blankets and sweaters to the 200 children living at Bal Kunj. All the children were also given food and lunch boxes.

Shoes

2007 Project - Temperatures during the summer months in the plains of northern India are exceedingly high, melting the tar on the road. As the orphans have to walk to school, many of them bare feet, Empower Orphans provided 200 children with a pair of sandals.
2010 Project - Empower Orphans provided 220 underprivileged children and street children with shoes.
